There’s is no line. AWS is a business. And one that caters to enterprise customers. Large enterprise customers don’t want to be cohosted with sites that are controversial. AWS has a history of kicking off controversial sites.

Remember that AWS can terminate (as shown recently with Parler) any time they want.

Surely not, AWS has never done anything like that!

AWS is a cesspool. If you want to use them, accept the fact that you'll be treated similarly to all the other crap hosted on AWS.If you have a problem with that, take it up with Amazon, not with the rest of the world who are all victims of Amazon.

AWS doesn’t have the power to wipe people out that don’t tie their stack to them. Parler could’ve avoided this, it’s not AWS fault that Parler could t move.

I heard they are about to get banned from AWS. Rumor is that Amazon has also demanded full moderation. I know they are getting pressure from Amazon employees and AWS customers.

AWS AUP is pretty ambiguous. I suppose if Pirate Bay and Wikileaks found a way, Parler can too. Honestly, it's a bit surprising they chose AWS at all if they were just using bare metal products as another post suggestshttps://aws.amazon.com/aup/

AWS ain't a law agency. They just decided to boot this organization out of their infra. Fair enough. AWS simply decided they don't want to benefit financially from this organization's operations.

Relevant I’d say because AWS can ban anyone, any time, for any reason

shabier Mar 3, 2022 View on HN

It wouldn't surprise me if AWS would do just that, given their history.
