I prefer randomizing lists but not songs. Spotify's user experience could be better in this regard tbh.
Playlists are horrible, Spotify still lack a Genre > Artist > Album view.
What I'm missing is multiple "currently playing" lists, each keeping its current position as I switch to play a different one. Use case: listening to a discography of the band, and if I wish to listen few songs from some other band. I can't go back to where I was with the first band. Foobar had multiple ad-hoc lists since forever. Now I balance between Spotify and Youtube music in these cases.
He's not talking about playing a playlist. Usually, users create and manage playlists. Are you familiar?

Why not make a playlist? Seems more durable
Shuffle on Spotify doesn't act right either. If I shuffle my liked songs it will play roughly the same few songs every time, like they shuffled it once and cached that playlist. It’s a terrible shuffle implementation.
Same here. It does playlists well and that's all I need.
Spotify regularly remove songs from playlists I have made after they lose the rights.
