Ok well I live in western, non-US country and no one I know is earning that as a dev.
there are 4 devs, so 69k per year.I don't how it is in USA. but that's less than your 90k/year figure by a significant amount
Every good dev I know makes 100K+, some make 150K+ and cost of living is much less.
I remember reading that they pay developers based on where they are located so for example developer from SF would get 140k while developer from Minsk would get 50k. Is it still true?
Not really. Devs in the uk earn far more than most of these jobs you mentioned. Perhaps you are working with the wrong company.
I make less than 1/3rd of what London devs seem to be on. That's depressing.
Could you provide a source for this statement because I'm pretty sure it's actually closer to 45k/y for fairly experienced developers
I'm sure you can't answer this, but are you paying him anywhere near $100,000 (£66,000)? In my experience that's about twice what a bog standard junior dev outside of finance, Facebook, Palantir, Facebook etc gets in London.
I'm not familiar with US salaries I guess it greatly depends on the state/city you're in. But in the UK I don't think this amount is uncommon for some doctors or software developers, especially outside of London.
10k for the average developer (in Europe) sounds a bit too high, 4k a bit too low, but closer to what I would expect.
