Why don't you just disable the flag in the app which blocks screenshots?
No, but it's a false sense of security for users. Nothing stops me from just using a separate camera to take a picture of the screen.
Are you not allowed to take screenshots of specific apps? Not gonna buy this phone then :(.
Why do random apps get access to the screenshot feature? Why would there ever be a reason to prevent a screenshot when the user presses the hardware buttons for a screenshot?
I know about camera access, there's a permission prompt for that. Didn't know about screen shots. That's honestly terrifying.
I'd be very wary of installing an app that took screenshots randomly
The rationale is preventing other apps, that have permission either explicitly or implicitly, from taking screenshots of pages you are viewing.
Operating systems shouldn't let apps detect screenshots without the user's permission. (And they shouldn't let apps distinguish between not being granted this permission and the user just never taking any screenshots.)
The security policy that prevents you from taking screenshots. Bug or intended, it's the same functionality.
What does it do to prevent taking a photo of a screen?
