Android supports contactless debit card payments too, depending on your bank.
From the user POV, it's the same:1. upload your Credit/Debit card info to an app(passport/wallet)2. your phone must have NFC.3. pay with your phone at a NFC capable terminal.
The bar is not physical credit cards but e-wallets like Apple Pay.
Not sure about US, here in Germany, I really love the tap-pay(NFC based) usually everywhere(except some random kebab shops). It simply works regardless of me having an Android/iPhone or simply just a the nfc enabled card.I donβt need to open another account, fumble with one-more-app or anything. You should try Apple Pay (or maybe Google Pay?) It addresses all those pain points and more, while still giving you the consumer protections and fast transactions of cards.
