Are you talking about the IDF's indiscriminate bombing of civilians in Gaza?

“World you prefer they go and kill 16,000 civilians in carpet bombing in residential areas?! Ha didn’t think so!”https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/gaza-death-toll-ho...

Unfortunately, HN isn't great for any nuanced discussion in this space. Someone will flag this story in a few minutes. The overall death toll for Israel, including Gaza, is now higher than any month in other recent world conflicts, even though it's not yet been a month. And it's mostly women and children.

I'm apparently at least one genius on HN that doesn't multiply unrelated sources.I took each claim as coming from a separate source because the article specifies that they did.By itself, a claim of 10% allowance, implies a 10% allowed civilian casualty rate. Also, if you down vote, it prevents me from commenting. If you just want to get the last word in, say so. You're not important enough for me to care if I do.Neither is this hearsay article.More telling, you compl

First, Israel has been carpet bombing Gaza for weeks on end. They have destroyed everything & bombed housing, schools, mosques, churches, universities, kids schools, restaurants, bakeries & every aspect of civilization there. How many Palestinian journalists have been murdered or had their families targeted and extended family bombed by the IOF?The IDF have targeted & murdered more journalists in 2 months than in any other conflict. The IDF is the only military on the planet t

I would like to nitpick your list if that's ok. I think being very precise is really important here. If there are uncertainties then those should be spelled out as well. Once we know the facts we can have a better discussion (not just the facts related to this list but the complete picture).- Israel did displace a lot of people. Partly for their own safety while Israel attacks the area they live in. I think your number are correct.- We already covered the "cut off" in a

What about the below stats live from Ghaza? I think these Palestinian's twitter API quota has already been reached and went beyond any limit too.- 447 heavy rockets, - 374 air strike aggression, - 39 marine bombs, - 111 targeted homes, - 17 homes completely destroyed, - 95 homes partially destroyed, - 2 masjids attacked, - 1 hospital attacked, - 1 ambulance car attacked.I can understand war, I understand loss and fear, but I can't understand how such a silly thing has reached

i stated untruthworness of this particular one and the response is "what about Israel".regarding gaza - it's a war in high density area fighting terrorist in civilian clothes. mind to remind who started the war? based on casualties in Russo-Ukranian war 50k casualties is very well in line with expectations. Were there some crimes - sure, is it a organized genocide - sure thing not.

Israel has killed more unarmed Gazan civilians at food hubs in the last few days than the Israeli civilians killed by Hamas on Oct 7. (798 vs 695).

There are many examples to the contrary.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bucha_massacreIn Israel, Gaza has higher casualties but you also have terrorists hiding among civilians, within hospitals, building tunnels with foreign aid, etc. It's regrettable, but it's also an extremely hard problem to solve.Hamas now has a fantastic (and generous, given what they did) deal
