Just buy a pair of KRK 5 studio monitors and be done with it. They are ugly as sin and a little on the large side but they are excellent things. Built-in amp and they turn themselves off when no audio is playing. Repairable too.

I use a Shanling. Awesome device, audiophile sound, lower price.
Check out this speaker kit call C-Notes. They're really well rated and a pretty simple/budget friendly option, especially if you're okay applying some eq on them. Paul Carmody has many good designs.
Just get a Schiit Magni and don't bother with creative shit.
