+1 for Ubiquiti Unifi. Got 2 AP's and a Router and it has been great with no issues so far (3 months). Upgraded as my previous combo router (with OpenWRT Gargoyle) would silently stop allowing wireless devices from connecting to the 2.4ghz at seemingly random intervals.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Ubiquiti products. I use an EdgeRouter X and Unifi AP Lite and get almost no loss of speeds over WiFi compared to connecting directly to the modem. Also no packet loss or poor reception.Their devices run Linux so you can ssh directly into them if you want to change something. All config options are also available via the command line interface. If you want a consistent UI experience, choose one of their several "lines" and stick with it for all you
Go pro-sumer. Ubiquiti stuff won't break the bank; Unifi for ease of management, Edge for fine control.
you have your own ubiquiti routers? how is that working out?
It's shocking just how good the Ubiquiti gear is.My setup at home is:Motorola Surfboard SB6183Ubiquiti EdgeRouter XUniquiti Unifi API set it up once and the only outages I've had were when my provider (Time Warner in NYC) had issues that made the Surfboard loose connectivity. Despite the fact that I'm in an incredibly noisy RF environment, I've never had trouble connecting to my AP.If had spare time and money, this is a business I'd try:- partner wit

Ubiquiti's stuff was also less expensive than some Cisco gear I was looki
i'll second ubiquiti. great bang for your buck. i use an edgerouter pro
Ubiquiti equipment works better in my experience.
I'm a big fan of Ubiquiti gear, I have set up a number of sites with Unifi, very easy to set up & manage and performance is excellent. Also impressed with airMAX, have used nanostation/nanobeam to build a number of short-haul point-to-point links where trenching fiber was too expensive. In general, I use EdgeMax for routing/switching rather than the Unifi branded switches/routers, although the hardware is identical, EdgeMax is infinitely more configurable.
