old.reddit.com Preference

The new Reddit just does that on every device. Luckily there is still old.reddit.com and i.reddit.com

Reddit runs well IMO if you go to old.reddit.com. The mobile site is borderline useless, presumably intentionally.

I always use old.reddit.com - I find the default site virtually unusable

I have a firefox extension to automatically redirect to old.reddit.com for the same reason. It's faster, more compact, easier to read, easier to navigate.

That’s because new Reddit is laden with ads and JS and crap. Try https://old.reddit.com

Unfortunately old.Reddit is not actually a great experience on mobile.
