and os companies can install key loggers on your device/machine. and chipset manufacturers can backdoor the system. and so on.no piece of hardware or software is safe from evil deeds of people building them.

Cool idea, but how do I know you're not a Keylogger in disguise?

You mean like the computer will be stolen or like the Evil Maid attack?

Your friend could just as easily install a keylogger and get everything anyway.

Somebody could put a hardware keylogger on your keyboard interface instead. Or de-solder your CPU and replace it with a backdoored version.

it means you can get remotely hacked by someone controlling cheap gadget manufacturing, something like this:http://www.tomshardware.com/news/mantistek-gk2-collects-type...but invisible and undetectable

Would be interesting to see if this can be used for eavesdropping as a keylogger.

Sadly, the described scheme doesn't protect from hardware backdoors. Let's say someone confiscates your laptop, installs a backdoor that sends all keypresses using GSM, and returns it to you. Now the attacker has all your passwords.

You could insert a device between the actual keyboard and the computer (man in the middle).

I wonder if it's something like a keylogger... maybe something as simple as pulling the plug out and putting something inline.
