No (see sister comments) and your incorrect answer is part of why AWS needs to reform S3.

Using S3 does not solve the problem. It just postpones it to the unknown future.

RobertKerans Dec 22, 2021 View on HN

Yep, S3 possibly the villain here

belter Jul 11, 2025 View on HN

Not accessible. Have they heard about S3 ?

jamiesonbecker May 31, 2017 View on HN

tinyS3 used to do this as well:https://github.com/smore-inc/tinys3/issues/44

Is us-east-2 (Ohio) any better (minus this aws-wide S3 issue)?

TheRealPomax Jun 16, 2021 View on HN

Sorry, where are you pulling this quote from? It's certainly not in the PR, and if you google for that quote, nothing official shows up, so... where in the official AWS S3 docs is this supposed to come from? Because without first party (not third party) sources, this quote is a made up bit of text, with zero validity.

they updated s3 recently.. sadly not solving the problem

S3 isn't a big deal. It could be you're thinking about it wrong.

hacker_newz Feb 26, 2024 View on HN

That is not how s3 buckets work.
