Im working on a platform for people to run their social hobbies and activities. Organize meetups, find when to meet, run ticketed events. for free! I use it myself to organize my weekly cycling group of friends and friends of friends.Paid stuff coming very soon, just onboarding some groups and get some feelhttps://embers.club/en

Can you list some interesting alternatives? I searched before and found few people on HN trying to improve meetup experience, but most are dead now

You mean more tools in the same vein as meetup.com?

ThereOrSquare Mar 23, 2020 View on HN

Hi Hacker News! We created ThereOrSquare, an event planning tool much like Facebook Events, but with heavy emphasis on planning tools. We made this because hosting small gatherings with friends requires many moving parts. Often multiple 3rd party apps are used to host a single event.Currently, our app features potluck list, tasks share, polls, friends list etc. We are looking for people to give us some feedback. Any comments are much appreciated. We will definitely put all your valuable input

What about something Evite, Eventbrite, or even Meetup.com?

With WhereWhenWho, you can quickly create & share events with friends. It only takes a few seconds, as no registration is required.I use it for small stuff, like organizing my friends and I when we meet and play football.Any kind of feedback is greatly appreciated! :)

Isn't that what meetup.com is for?

Depending on your needs there's GroupSpaces, Eventbrite, Google Groups, etc.
