We don't...it's not particularly heavy on Twitter API usage. What are you thinking of?

philjohn Apr 24, 2022 View on HN

How do they get around only being able to get at your last 3000 tweets?

bishalb Feb 15, 2020 View on HN

Probably by using Twitter's API.

c0mbonat0r Aug 4, 2024 View on HN

isnt the twitter api super expensive? how did you get around that?

jmillerinc Jul 19, 2010 View on HN

Because twitter is unstable, and the api is rate-limited.

sreejata Nov 6, 2013 View on HN

The Twitter API calls are rate limited and it would be impossible to handle any meaningful traffic.

Turns out twitter's not so bad at managing a few million users after all

BiteCode_dev May 30, 2020 View on HN

At twitter scale, doing anything is costly.

mkaziz Jul 13, 2015 View on HN

Twitter doesn't hog that much data.

luckylion Dec 3, 2022 View on HN

But Twitter does allow this, they just rate-limit their APIs.
