I had an app like this in the app store. I made € 10 / month. :p Hope you do better.
are there people here making substantial money selling apps (instead of making them)?
I made a very simple iOS gym log app for my own needs and decided to sell it in the App Store. I think I've generated almost $5k in revenue. So, not a 'business', but it certainly paid for my developer account! :)
Very good. Congrats.I made an app 2 years ago and make around 10,000$/month currently with it. Keep going!
Why not try generating revenue from the app?
Any tips on following a similar path to creating profitable apps?
Make this into an iPhone app and you'll probably get some very nice monthly dosh from it.
This looks awesome dude. Looks like you also have some other nice apps up there. Can you make a living from the sales?
I outsourced my app "Keep Calm - create a funny poster" (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/keep-calm-create-funny-poste...) in the middle of December 2012 (coded 60% myself, 40% outsourced - for 500 USD) and make around 300-500 USD every month off it (no marketing at all).Gonna prep two other apps to release in April. If any of you need help with your app (revenue), I'd love to
Congrats you've been very productive this year.Concerning making money, I think you need to explore other ways of revenue streams than just paid apps. For example freemium or ad based. I'm currently making $0.07/download, with 20,000 downloads/month on Android using an in app purchase freemium model. I'll be adding more IAPs, so revenue should be going up in 2014.
