Supercharger network is a big advantage for Teslas. Hoping the other charging networks catch up eventually.

This would probably drive me away from buying a Tesla. They can't even keep up with demand for their superchargers when they're only serving Teslas[1]. Opening them up to any random EV would make make their charging network a complete mess.[1] https://www.thedrive.com/news/31274/more-teslas-on-the

Teslas supercharger network is so good that even if I had a non-tesla EV I'd want to be charging only at superchargers.

Good luck charging your next ev outside of Tesla's charging network. Seems like your going to be funding Elon either way..

What is wrong with using the adapter to tag on to the Tesla supercharger network?

Would Tesla's supercharger charging network fill that role of "lock-in"?

My wife and I have a Model Y and charging hasn't been an issue. New Superchargers open all the time. All or almost all carmakers are switching to the NACS port/charging standard (the Tesla one, basically), and that should simplify matters substantial

Don't you see even Tesla Supercharger is opening for all EVs? It won't work.

Tesla needed to create the Supercharger network to ~exist - Unfortunate that it didn't get adopted as standard.

Tesla has consistently said the Supercharger Network is open for any manufacturer to adapt. ""Tesla is aware of these problems. CEO Elon Musk first floated the idea of sharing its Supercharger network in 2015, but with only a few hundred Superchargers operating at the time, the proposals did not gain any momentum.""Tesla’s chief technology officer JB Straubel has strongly suggested that plans are now underway. He said to Electrek: ‘For things like Supercharger, we are a
