What is the best, GUI, process monitor for Linux?

digi_owl Sep 25, 2015 View on HN

Or keep htop on hand, with tree view toggled on.

Have you ever used (h)top? It's great at-a-glance view of what's going on, from the command line.

Take a look at `glances'. I think it does what you want.

Explanation of everything you can see in htop/top on Linux

I'm using htop. Very easy but maybe not enough features for what you are looking for ?

Any reason nobody is mentioning good old htop here? Since ytop was pitched as an alternative to top...

Ycros Mar 13, 2024 View on HN

I prefer btop, it does all the usual process monitoring as well as gpus in the latest versions.

jalcine Aug 17, 2024 View on HN

looks around I use `htop`

Yes, atop is great for this! There's also "sar" (system activity report) which can do similar things. Both are quite helpful.
