Ok plausible theory. Can you prove it?

skybrian Feb 26, 2019 View on HN

This sounds vaguely plausible, but do you have anything backing that up? Unproven theories are a dime a dozen.

A plausible theory, that's all!

hyperpallium Jan 23, 2018 View on HN

It's more an intriguing hypothesis than an accepted finding. The reasoning is interesting and plausible.

An interesting theory, but there's no proof of it, is there?

Haven't come across this theory, but sure, it's a theory.

humanrebar Sep 17, 2015 View on HN

That's an interesting theory with absolutely no evidence to support it.

joelbluminator Oct 7, 2020 View on HN

Interesting theory. Let's agree that it's inconclusive then!

arcticbull Jan 12, 2022 View on HN

That's a cool theory, do you have any data to back it up or is this just an unfounded assertion?

That's an interesting hypothesis - though one that is far from fact, that many would disagree with, and which has never been tested. As such, you might want to avoid fallaciously stating it as a certainty.
