How is this different than giving your children to orphanage?

We take peoples kids when they wouldn't be treated well.
It is "just adoption" if the kid is lucky. Otherwise it is horror story.Edit: Also it was not done for the good of the kids, but for the good of the parents. Which puts it into different situation.
