Yeah it's the difference between paying $10/month for Netflix vs buying movies a la carte

That's a giving steep price they are demanding, good luck with that.Netflix is cheaper and has more content of a higher quality.

Only Prime Video, it's about 10$ per year here. If they start charging normally - I'm out.

> Netflix is selling you any movie for ~$10/month.are you talking about their streaming options or dvd mail service? their streaming service has very limited options for good movies. and the good ones are ones i have usually already seen (and yet netflix's machine learning "experts" constantly recommend them to me, i.e., they have nothing else to offer or they aren't experts). netflix is pushing their own content more and more, which i personally find not go

I don’t know where you live or what your circumstances are, but $10-15/month is less than Netflix or Spotify. It’s less than YouTube Premium. All those things are essentially you paying for content in a way that results in you being less advertised to. It’s not a lot of money.

It's literally more expensive than literally every other streaming service. Get a pihole/adblocker, it's less expensive.

At one point you start wondering why you pay for Netflix.

Do you work for netflix or something? these are some heavy comparisons you're making. Netflix is a premium service and they charge a premium rate for it! 15 bucks a month could buy Disney+ too ya know ;)

I feel the same. Netflix (and other streaming sites) provide insane value for a measly subscription price. In comparison, I think books, DVDs, CDs are way overpriced. Youtube Premium is the other thing. They make their own advertisements go away for $5/mo in Hungary, which is half of a cheap meal at a restaurant, and people act like it's pulling teeth.

Why is anyone entitled to as much content as cable for a Netflix-like price?
