Where's Donald Knuth and TeX?! ;p
What about Donald Knuth and TeX?https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TeX
Didn't Knuth implement TeX in order to typeset his papers to his satisfaction? If so, I think the coder level fits...
Better go with TeX if you're going into the Turing complete typesetting language niche, a Knuth product has more street cred.
Didn't Knuth write TeX in a variant of Pascal?
Because he wrote TeX and Plain TeX to cover his needs (writing TAOCP mostly), which might not be the same as everyone else’s?
XeTeX and LuaTeX are projects you might be interested in.
Not a language in the way you mean, but TeX did this a while back.
Any guesses for the typesetting system used to produce this paper? Is that troff or something even older?
