AFAIK EU wants closed borders and a different financial center if UK leaves EU. Both of these can have the effect of hurting the UK economy.

Well, it's no so much 'good riddance' (we really want you to stay) as we're all glad the awkward political tug of war is over and we all know where we stand. Even if it isn't where we would have liked to, at least we can try and move on. These are just the figures so far. This doesn't take into account things that are yet to happen like losing access to the single market (proximity is a far better predictor of economic exchange than culture, so talk of trade deals with Australia and New Zealand need to be taken with a huge pinch of salt), withdrawal from EU trade deals which are going to take a long time to renegotiate piecemeal (and which we're unlikely to get on the same terms as a separate entity), etc. The UK gover
