Happy to help. Let me know where to send the invoice for my non-legal legal expertise, if your rate is anything like my startup's lawyer you'll find me a bargain! Haha.

Certainly not common startup stuff -- it all sounds very strange and sketchy. You should talk to a lawyer at a firm that knows startups. In the Bay Area, Wilson Sonsini or Orrick are good.

You are taking this page too literally - the fonts are telling - it is starup-talk! There is a serious endeavour underneath - but at this stage they prefer to advertise the fun side of their project. How would I go about finding a lawyer with startup experience to help me as an individual? Should I expect to pay large amounts of cash for this?

Consult a lawyer, of course. You could pull in the T&Cs from firms that seem similar to yours, analyze them, learn a bit about contract law, and aggregate them to match your preferences, but the cost of the time you'll have to spend is quite likely to exceed the cost of getting a lawyer to modify some boilerplate to your particular needs. You could also consider looking for a legal team member or mentor that could either contribute directly or steer you towards an attorney experienced

I would love feedback on my startup, Lawdingo.com (YC W13), as I believe it addresses many of these issues. We get independent lawyers to be transparent about their prices, we solicit community reviews, and we make lawyers available instantly. I'd humbly recommend people try it out for their startup legal needs. It's free.

Hi there! I am an experienced Silicon Valley startup attorney who's been in both big law and in house roles. I also started a couple of companies along the way.I can't give legal advice over the internet, of course, but happy to take general questions here if anyone wants to reach out!

Hi there! Congrats on your startup. I'm a startup lawyer and I've only recently discovered a website called UpCounsel that essentially helps with what you're looking for. I've never used them but they have great reviews.Happy to chat about your business myself, but I can only give you legal advice if you're in Ontario, Canada! :)I hope this helps!
