Why not use FLAC? It gets 50-70% compression and is lossless.

MP3 is a really old format with some known flaws even at the highest bitrates - try using something newer like Vorbis or Opus.

Why would hand out audio files in a format that has been obsolete for a few decades ? Give me flac or any other lossless format that I can convert to flac.
