What did Facebook do that should be illegal?

ahoka Feb 22, 2022 View on HN

Good luck if you are not living in the USA, there is no real legal entity you can contact. Everything is a shell, every response is automated. Facebook has zero liability.

Wait, the law firm talks about their dealings over Facebook?

ouid Jan 23, 2021 View on HN

are you saying that it's illegal to regulate facebook?

res0nat0r Aug 8, 2020 View on HN

You don't have any right to use Facebooks platform that is against their TOS, that they likely can change at any time. Ma Bell was regulated as as utility, Facebook is not a utility.

Perhaps because FB is actually breaking the law.

k3a Dec 20, 2017 View on HN

No, that's not practically possible. And even if it were, FB could stop or change/restrict it any time.

What you're describing does not sound like Facebook's jurisdiction.

What more do you want? Criminal prosecution for violating Facebook's internal policy?

eevee Jun 28, 2015 View on HN

Why would it be illegal at all? Facebook isn't a government authority.
