Isn't "Sign in with ______" (Google/Facebook/Etc) discouraged, because if for whatever reason Google/Facebook/Etc decides to ban your account, you can no longer log in to those services?

Wouldn't this be a really good place to allow a log-in with an existing social a/c (eg Twitter, FB, G+, ...) to avoid the annoyance and security hazard of yet another new online a/c?

As a user I detest social logins, and would prefer an account at the website to hci I want access. It is a privacy thing.

Please don't require using another service to log in. I hit "Sign in", saw the Google, Twitter, and Facebook buttons, and immediately looked for the "no, I really want to use a username and password" option.Also, the Twitter authorization requests permission to read tweets and followers; don't do that.

I think the problem raised about login is due to the limited options, either Facebook or Github.People don't trust websites that quickly ask for their Facebook account. It looks spammy.I'm all for third-party authentication, I hate creating yet another account. I think the balance is to offer more choices than just Facebook or Github. And I don't like linking my Github to things that are not directly involving my code.The way StackExchange does is the right way, I believe. Offering mo

Have you considered Login with Facebook/Twitter using Oauth? I hate creating user accounts on different sites, and I'm sure I'm not alone here.
