"As a result of..." does not mean "they were directly, fully paid by USAid".And then considering the millions of people whose life has been disrupted by the US, I guess it doesn't sound completely crazy for USAid to try to help a fraction of that number?

Is this because of USAID funding cut?

Though it wasn't directly mentioned in the article, the relevant context is that the Trump administration is in the process of cutting foreign aid by the US; see the link below for a few details.Looks to me like the OWID article is saying that the aid from the US is a good investment.[1] https://www.msn

The money allocated to USAID is more accounted for than other departments of the US Government. Probably DoD.Trump cancelled funding to USAID PREDICT, and then they were understaffed and then the COVID hoax occurred and I think we'd prefer to just hide that under the rug.FWICS trans-better-than-gay Trump couldn't handle the gay director of USAID.USAID was providing humanitarian aid to Gaza while Kushner-Trump-Likud was providing military aid to support the killing without due

Many countries have their variation of the USAID. In fact the UK, France, Canada, etc. have such programs.I'd argue that these are an investment in the future and end up being positive for the countries investing in them, in the form of the world being a better place, putting less pressure on immigration flows, and so on.Per capita, other countries contribute more, so this wasn't such a wasteful use of American resources. And absence of such a program elsewhere doesn't tak

I described the The United States Agency for International Development (USAID). [1] The money allocated to them for "Aid" is not tracked or accounted for, one of the reasons it was defunded. The previously linked video explains this in more depth although the official reason was due to being woke. The money sent to other countries is just used to bribe officials.Adding to this the current generation of online manipulators are awful. The boomers at least used some advanced psych

They are currently in the process of tearing down USAID, which provides money to other countries to help with things like disease eradication.https://apnews.com/article/trump-musk-usaid-c0c7799be0b2fa7c...

USAID looking for an ROI???? THat's NOT the purpose of aiding other countries. You don't need to look for a return on an investment. USAid was feeding children in places. You're looking for an ROI on saving human lives. Learn empathy.
